The Risen Lord

The Risen Lord

The Risen Lord

The Bodily Resurrection of the Lord

Acts 1:1-3

Our time changed when Jesus was raised

Our Sabbath changed. From Saturday to Sunday.

The Resurrection is our guarantee of salvation

1 Corinthians 15

This teaching is an actor and foundational to our faith

The bodily resurrection is historical fact.

The gospels gave us accounts of the resurrection. Disciples and over 500 people saw Jesus after the resurrection

Jesus appeared to Mary, the women, the disciples on the road to Emmaus, Peter, apostles without Thomas and then the apostles with Thomas, the seven of the shore of Galilee and the 500 and then lastly at His ascension to Heaven

The disciples heard Jesus speak.

Jesus presented Himself alive

Thomas was able to touch Jesus. His hands and side

Jesus ate with his disciples

Jesus ate with the two men on the road to Emmaus

Acts 10:40-41

The scars on Jesus. The scars from the cross, the beatings, the crown of th thorns and his side.

The way Jesus spoke Mary’s name, she knew it was Him.

Jesus gave the Great Commission. Matthew 28:19-20

Go and tell about Him. He spoke as our King and Savior and Lord.

We need to have faith in God.

We need to love Jesus with all our heart.

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father but through Him

Transcendency – Supreme Excellency

Why is Jesus more excellent?

His body is immortal. Death has no more dominion over Him.

His maneuverability. He appeared and disappeared to many people.

His splendor and His glory

We serve a living Savior
